A teaser trailer has been released for a new TV series Twisted Metal, starring Anthony Mackie.
Described as a half-hour high-octane action comedy live-action TV series, Twisted Metal is based on the classic PlayStation video game series.
According to the official synopsis — John Doe (Anthony Mackie), a motor-mouthed outsider is offered a chance at a better life, but only if he can successfully deliver a mysterious package across a post-apocalyptic wasteland. With the help of a badass axe-wielding car thief, he’ll face savage marauders driving vehicles of destruction and other dangers of the open road, including a deranged clown who drives an all too familiar ice cream truck.
Michael Jonathan Smith serves as Twisted Metal’s showrunner. He is also an executive producer, alongside Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick.
The show will also star Stephanie Beatriz, Will Arnett, Thomas Haden Church, Joe Seanoa, Tahj Vaughans, Chelle Ramos and Michael Carollo.
It is set to premiere on July 27th, 2023 on streaming platform Peacock.
