An official trailer has been released for a new John Wick mini-series titled, The Continental: From the World of John Wick, starring Colin Woodell, Ayomide Adegun, Peter Greene, Katie McGrath and Mel Gibson.
Billed as a three-part event, the new series will serve as a prequel to the Keanu Reeves led films.
According to the official synopsis — The series will explore the origin behind the iconic hotel-for-assassins centerpiece of the John Wick universe through the eyes and actions of a young Winston Scott (Colin Woodell), as he’s dragged into the Hell-scape of 1970’s New York City to face a past he thought he’d left behind. Winston charts a deadly course through the hotel’s mysterious underworld in a harrowing attempt to seize the hotel where he will eventually take his future throne.
The series will also star Ben Robson, Hubert Point-Du Jour, Jessica Allain, Mishel Prada, Nhung Kate, Ray McKinnon, Adam Shapiro, Mark Musashi and Marina Mazepa.
It will be streaming on NBCUniversal’s Peacock platform, with the first episode scheduled to be released on Friday, September 22nd, 2023. The next two episodes are set to be released consecutively on the Fridays to follow (Sept. 29th and Oct. 6th).
