A final trailer has been released for the upcoming horror movie Insidious: The Red Door.
The Red Door, which is the 5th installment in the horror film series, picks up 10 years after Insidious: Chapter 2. It will see the original cast return for what is being billed as “the final chapter of the Lambert family’s terrifying saga”.
The original Insidious franchise creators James Wan and Leigh Whannell, serve as producers on Insidious 5, as well as Jason Blum for Blumhouse Productions and Oren Peli.
Not only will original cast member Patrick Wilson be starring in The Red Door, he will also be making his directorial debut, as the director of Insidious 5.
According to the official synopsis — In Insidious: The Red Door, the horror franchise’s original cast returns for the final chapter of the Lambert family’s terrifying saga. To put their demons to rest once and for all, Josh (Patrick Wilson) and a college-aged Dalton (Ty Simpkins) must go deeper into The Further than ever before, facing their family’s dark past and a host of new and more horrifying terrors that lurk behind the red door.
The movie will also star Ty Simpkins, Rose Byrne, Andrew Astor, Sinclair Daniel and Hiam Abbass.
It is scheduled to be released in theaters on July 7th, 2023.
