An official trailer has been released for Encounters, a new four part documentary TV mini series.
Steven Spielberg’s production company Amblin Television, as well as Boardwalk Pictures and Vice Studios are behind the show.
The series, which is directed by Yon Motskin, will explore four true stories of encounters with otherworldly phenomena, all of which have been heavily researched.
Each episode tells a single story — strange lights in the sky over small-town Texas; submersible space crafts haunting a coastal Welsh village; an alien encounter in a schoolyard in Zimbabwe; non-human intelligence reportedly interfering with a nuclear power plant in Japan.
Told from the perspective of firsthand experiencers, in the places where the sightings occurred, and guided by cutting-edge scientists and military personnel, the series highlights the profoundly human impact of these encounters on lives, families, and communities.
The series has come about since the more recent congressional hearings on UFOs in the United States.
It is scheduled to be released on streaming platform Netflix, on September 27th, 2023.
