An official trailer has been released for the upcoming supernatural thriller movie Dear David, starring Augustus Prew.
The movie is based on a ghost story by former BuzzFeed employee Adam Ellis, which he told in a 2017 Twitter thread that ultimately went viral, gaining him over one million followers. The tale, which was centered on the ghost of a dead boy named David that was haunting him, was based on his own apparent experiences at the time.
According to the official synopsis — After responding to Internet trolls, a man becomes haunted by the ghost of a dead child named David, who is trying to kill him.
The movie is directed by John McPhail and also stars Andrea Bang and Justin Long.
Dear David is scheduled to be released in theaters, on digital and on demand on October 13th, 2023.
